Help us to continue supporting people seeking asylum

Our mission is to ensure that every single refugee feels safe, welcomed and empowered as they begin their new lives in Australia and in their new community. The Romero Centre is committed to advocating for the rights and wellbeing of people seeking asylum. We work closely with local authorities, non-governmental organisations, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that their needs are addressed, and their voices are heard. We believe in creating a community that is inclusive, diverse, and enriched by the contributions of all individuals.

There are many ways you can make a difference in the lives of people seeking asylum in South East Queensland.

Provide Employment

Employers play a crucial role in supporting asylum seekers and fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society.

By extending a helping hand to people seeking asylum, businesses can not only make a significant difference in the lives of these individuals but also benefit from the diverse talents and perspectives they bring. People seeking asylum often arrive in our countries with unique skills, experiences, and a strong determination to succeed. By offering them employment opportunities, employers can tap into this pool of untapped potential, contributing to their personal growth and self-sufficiency.

Moreover, hiring people seeking asylum can promote a positive image for businesses, showcasing their commitment to social responsibility and inclusivity, thus strengthening their reputation within the community. By offering fair wages, safe working conditions, and opportunities for professional development, employers can provide people seeking asylum with the stability they need to rebuild their lives, fostering a sense of belonging and gratitude that can lead to long-lasting loyalty and dedication.
